The training provided to our volunteers is largely dependant on the role for which they have been selected. If they are selected for an “Operational Responder” role whether that is as an Emergency Responder or Community Responder they will all receive the same initial medical training. The Emergency Responders will also receive additional medical modules to enhance their skills even further in line with their deployment strategy. A précis of this Course is viewable via the link below.
Emergency Responders and Community Responders can also receive specialist training that is suitable to their role. Examples of these may be speed awareness training (motorway safety) or cycle response training. All of the responders whatever role are expected to maintain currency in all aspects of their medical skills and this is managed by their training manager through regular training events and evenings.

The training for our staff is not limited to only our operational volunteers our support staff can also be selected for training courses to enhance what they have to offer the Charity. Many have recently attended various workshops provisioned by the Charity Aid Foundation to enhance our fundraising opportunities.
There are development opportunities for our entire volunteer force to enhance their person skills portfolio whilst serving the community. All of our current medical training is provided by our preferred training partner whom is a registered IHCD training provider.
